Hanalei Ridge Loft
2020. Woah. Amiright??
Last week Sam and I hit a major wall. The heaviness of 2020 mixed with the fact that we hadn’t taken a vacation in almost a year was starting to take its toll. Now, I know what you might be thinking, “But Bekah, you basically LIVE vacation on Kauai.” Yes, in part. But just like everyone else, we get lost in the normalcies of life. Work, grocery shopping, cleaning the house, weeding the garden, dentist appointments, paying bills, etc. It catches up to you no matter the view outside your window. So we decided to push pause, pack up our bags, and “get away” (aka drive forty miles north). Because vacation, or times of rest, are more a state of mind than a destination. It’s a chance to step away from the duties of life and recharge. In the last five days, we found that.
But what’s vacation without a cool rental, right?? :) We almost always opt for booking an AirBnb (or something similar); we love discovering unique places to stay! And because we live on island full-time (the rules around rentals on Kauai during COVID are pretty strict for travelers), we were able book a place on the North Shore right down the road from one of our favorite beaches. What a gift! Note: We were also super encouraged to see the care they took to make sure the entire process was contactless and squeaky clean.
Because our main goals were to unplug, rest, and spend intentional time together, we opted to leave our cameras at home and bring along a Fujifilm disposable instead. However, we snapped a few photos back at the AirBnb to give you a little peak inside our north shore Kauai loft!
We loved the beautifully updated the kitchen; it was thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay: utensils, dish-ware, cook-ware, basic cookie spices/oils, reusable bags for shopping, etc.
Each morning, we enjoyed our coffee on the lanai with a beautiful view of the Hanalei ridge line.
The loft was furnished with two king size beds (one on the main floor and one in the loft) as well as a large sectional and dining table. We slept and lounged so comfortably!
We loved how clean, cozy, and stylish the space was and adored all the personal touches!! It was also such a treat to be provided with beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel gear so we didn’t have to pack ours with us!
It was such a treat to get a little r&r the last few days and we’re super thankful that we found the Hanalei Ridge Loft to cruise in while we rested for our adventures! We’ve linked the listing below if you’d like to book it as well — And if you do, please let us know. We’d love to hear what you think!!
